MIM seeks Budget session for 20 days

Hyderabad: The All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Friday represented to State Assembly Speaker, urging him to run the Budget session for 20 days It requested to consider the listed subjects identified by the party.

AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi gave a representation requesting to include 25 subjects, including minorities welfare, development of Old City, and protection of Wakf properties, among others, which were listed by the party and fix dates for discussion in the current Budget session. The party mentioned in a letter that it may be recalled that the government had promised in the last Assembly session (September 2022) that the winter session would be held for more than a week in December to discuss all public and other issues but it was not held.
