Missing minor boy traced in 3 days

Manchal: The Rachakonda Cybercrime police traced a missing minor boy to Padmarao Nagar on Monday night. The boy had left his home after his father scolded him for not going back to his college hostel after holidays.

According to the police, on July 25, the complainant D Ramadas Goud (41), a resident of Manchal mandal in Rangareddy district, lodged a complaint stating that his son who was studying Inter first year in a private college at Hayathnagar had not showed interest to go back to his college after the end of holidays.

When he questioned him, his son got furious and left home on his bike and since then he had been missing. The complainant searched for him at all possible places, but in vain. It was then that he complained atManchal police station which approached cybercrime police station for technical assistance to trace the boy.

Cybercrime sleuths collected the details of login/logout IP address, registered mobile number and relevant technical information through service providers, and traced the missing boy at a tiffin centre, where he started working as a supplier. On questioning about his presence, he replied that his parents did not concede his request to pursue his studies as a day scholar, and forced him to stay in the hostel, which made him run away from home.
