Kondapur: The residents of Gautami Enclave in Kondapur have come up with a new way to tackle garbage issues in their locality by conducting 'Mission Cleanliness.'

All residents including children, women and elderly gathered to clean the colony premises. They visited all the apartments in the colony and created awareness amidst residents about Cleanliness.

Speaking to the Hans India, Krishna Mohan Reddy Velagala, General Secretary of Gautami Enclave Welfare Association, said, "With the inspiration of 'Swachh Bharath' we planned to clean our premises and streets ourselves once in three months.

In this way, it will inspire fellow residents and workers to keep the premises tidy and clean." He further added, "We would like to extend this activity to our neighborhood colonies as well as in near future once our colony made garbage free on open plots and streets."

Gautami Enclave is a green lush colony with 1400+ residents living in 70 Standalone apartments. With the passion for better living standards, innovative ideas were implemented by the residents. The GHMC and other government bodies have nominated Gautami Enclave as the best model colony in the West Zone.
