MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala meets several department officials on grievances

Malakpet: Malakpet MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala conducted a review meeting with officials of GHMC, HMWSSB, TSSPDCL, horticulture department and Malakpet traffic police on the issues facing Azampura division.

During meeting on Thursday, they discussed about the civic problems being faced by residents in Old Malakpet division, Azampura division and surrounding areas under Malakpet constituency. For the past few days, the local people have been complaining about the sanitation problem in area.

They also brought to the notice of MLA that in some localities there was no sweeping and delay in lifting of garbage in areas and after desilting works the manholes remained not covered posing risk and wastage remained for days close to manholes, without being cleared. Due to lack of proper sanitation, the residents faced risk of attracting seasonal disease. MLA instructed the sanitation department to look on the issue and ensure that garbage is cleaned and removed regularly.

Illegal parking issue

They also discussed about the illegal parking beside Q-mart to Musi nala in Azampura division and Ahmed Balala asked the Malakpet Traffic police Inspector T Raja Shekar Reddy to clear all the illegally parked vehicles and also take action against the men who have created hurdles for movement of locals.

Later in evening, Ahmed Balala along with GHMC Zonal Commissioner (Charminar) N Samrat Ashok inspected the area, where illegal parking issue cropped up.

According to the residents of Malakpet, they are facing trouble from illegal parking of vehicles of two mechanic shops and travels agency which is located in this lane. These mechanics and travel agency are parking their vehicles in front of houses and also parking near the boundary of nala, which is causing the residents a lot of trouble and inconvenience.

After their several requests to the owners of vehicles went unheeded, After this, the residents along with the members of CIB Quarters Residents Welfare Association recently gave a representation to Malakpet traffic police regarding the illegal parking in area.
