MLA Mynampally Hanumantha Rao says permanent fix to drainage issue soon

Malkajgiri: Local MLA Mynampally Hanumantha Rao has promised that the troubling drainage issue in the constituency would be permanently resolved soon. He was speaking during his visit to East Kakatiya Nagar streets 7, 8 and 9 of Vinayak Nagar division on Sunday.

He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Dasharath, local corporator Baddam Pushpalatha Reddy and officials from various departments during his visit.

Speaking later at a meeting organised at Kakatiya Nagar Colony, which was presided by the colony welfare association president Krishna Swamy, the MLA said it was estimated that Rs 200 crore would be required to complete drainage and nala works in Malkajgiri and Alwal circles, and that he would discuss with minister KTR on the issue.

Some colony residents complained about open transformer in the colony and expressed fears it may be hazardous as schoolchildren passing by it. Responding to the complaint, the MLA spoke to the TRANSCO DE and instructed him to address the issue.

Later, he along with colony residents and officials took a pledge to keep the surroundings clean, not to use plastic and also not to throw wastes into nalas. Among those who participated in the program include local TRS leadeers, officials of Jalamandali, electricity and GHMC and others.
