Moosapet people pour out woes before MLA Madhavaram Kantha Rao

Moosapet: Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Kantha Rao on Wednesday held a review meeting in Moosapet division to discuss local problems in the presence of officials, representatives of area welfare associations and women's organisations.

Residents of various colonies submitted representations on problems facing them like submersion of low-lying areas during monsoon, non-cleaning of drainage lines, overflowing sewerage, laying of water supply lines.

Residents of Ramaraonagar Nala and Kabir Nala stated that they were facing severe hardships because of non-clearance of silt resulting in floods. They pleaded for removal of silt in the nalas and their improvement.

Addressing the meeting, the MLA stated that most of the problems of Moosapet have already been solved. He assured that the park in P J R Nagar would be developed with a room for the benefit of senior citizens. Referring to roads and drainage issues, Rao directed officials to prepare plans for taking up the works.

The legislator said he had been fighting for improvement of Ramaraonagar Nala for which Rs 4 crore was been sanctioned. However, works were yet to be launched. Rao wanted officials to immediately take up the works.

Rao appealed to people to use jute bags instead of plastic covers. All eligible poor would be allotted 2 BHK houses and that those intending to construct houses in 70 sq yard lands need not take permission. Among those present were Corporator Thumu Shravan Kumar, Satyam, Ch Satyanarayana, Karke Pentayya, J Gopal, senior TRS leaders and officials.
