Sangareddy: Rain occurred at many places across Telangana, including Sangareddy, Vikarabad and Ranga Reddy districts, among others, even as the Southwest Monsoon turned normal during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 a m on Thursday.

The Met department bulletin said there was 4 cm of rain in Narayankhed (Sangareddy), while 3 cm rain each occurred in Nawabpet (Vikarabad) and Shadnagar (Ranga Reddy). Two cm of rain each occurred in Kondurg (Ranga Reddy), Rajendranagar (RR). There was 1 cm rain each in Chevella, Vikarabad, Munipalli, Jogipet, Sadasivpet, Regode, Doma, Serilingampally, Bomraspeta and Alladurg.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places in the State from September 20 to 23, as the upper air cyclonic circulation now lies over Rayalaseema and its neighbourhood.

The bulletin said the east-west trough at the mean sea level has become less marked. Consequently, heavy rain is very likely to occur on September 23 at isolated places in all State districts.
