MRPS Maha Garjana meeting on April 27
Amberpet: MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga on Tuesday stated that 'Maha Garjana' meeting would be held at Dharna Chowk on April 27 and urged all those who respect Dr BR Ambedkar to attend the meeting. Announcing this at his residence, he released a wall poster on the meeting.
Criticising the state government, Manda Krishna said those who do not like to be questioned cannot be called democrats. He said that protest is a democratic right and no government can deprive a citizen of it.
Lambasting the state government for its 'oppressive policies,' he asked why KCR was afraid of being questioned. Referring to the desecration of Dr Ambedkar's statue at Punjagutta, he questioned why GHMC removed the statue, while not touching the statue of Rajasekhara Reddy, which too did not have permissions.
He condemned the state government for not giving permission to the protest programme to be conducted at Dharna Chowk on April 17. Warning the state government, he said that Telangana people would not tolerate dictatorship.
Manda Krishna said that they had applied to police for the permission to hold 'Maha Garjana' at Dharna Chowk to be held on April 27 and would go to court if the permission was not given. He said he would meet DGP and Home Minister on Wednesday for the permission and would seek appointment of Governor on Thursday. He appealed to all the Ambedkarites to attend the meeting in large numbers and make it a grand success.
