Mumbai MIM leader campaigns for Asad
Moghalpura: MIM MLA from Byculla in Mumbai Waris Pathan is in the city to campaign for his party chief Asaduddin Owaisi, whom he fondly calls 'Tiger.' Considered to be party's voice in Maharastra, he attracted huge crowds during a public meeting held near Volta Hotel in Moghalpura on Saturday night.
Speaking on the occasion, Waris Pathan described Asaduddin as the roaring tiger who is known not only across the nation, but internationally. Ridiculing the leadership of both the national parties, he said the country was facing a situation of dilemma, wherein on one side there is 'pappu' and 'Hindu nationalist' on the other side and that the people of the country are at the crossroads.
Blaming demonetization as worst decision a prime minister could make, he said that the country was facing unemployment problem like never before. Describing Modi's government as nothing but a "jumlebaaz sarkar," he pointed out that nothing from 2014 manifesto was implemented. "BJP was to provide 15 lakh to every bank account, 2 crore jobs for unemployed youth, bring back black money from Swiss banks. But after winning the elections, even the white money from banks was looted away by men who were considered to be top businessmen," he alleged.
While referring to Akbaruddin's remarks on Modi, he recalled that after Modi had said that he was a 'Faqeer' and would leave to jungle with his Jhola (small bag), Akbar, who felt that what Modi said was ridiculous, offered him to drop to any jungle he liked.
"Now the situation in the country is if one talks against the Congress, he is not secular and if one speaks against BJP, he is anti-national. Both national parties have ditched Muslims who have to prove their patriotism even after 70 years of partition," he lamented.
