Nampally: Advocates demand justice for Disha

Nampally: Advocates took out a rally from Nampally court to Yousufian Baba Dargah on Tuesday demanding justice for the veterinarian doctor who was brutally gang-raped and murdered. Nampally criminial court bar association organised the protest.

Speaking to media, the general secretary of association, Balaraju Goud, demanded that the state government form a fast-track court and ensure offenders were punished within three months. They called upon advocates not to provide any legal assistance to the offenders.

They demanded that police seek the help of senior advocates and legal officials to ensure that offenders get most severe punishment. They urged the government to improve patrolling system and provide better security to people.

They also called upon the public to cooperate with police in their efforts to provide justice to Priyanka. Association members Sandhya Rani, Sujatha, Aneef Khan, Nagender, Amar Gupta and other advocates were among those who participated in the rally.
