NCC Directorate officers visit Hyderabad Public School
Begumpet: It was a pleasant surprise for the students of Hyderabad Public School (HPS) as officers from the NCC Directorate visited their campus on Monday.
Air Commodore NN Reddy, Deputy Director-General, NCC AP, and Telangana State headed a group of officers who had come to the school. The officers were on a quick visit and were taken on a tour of the school campus.
Addressing the cadets, the NN Reddy DDG, Air Commodore spoke about the attitude as the defining prerequisite of every great leader. He quoted incidents of how the Armed Forces gave attitude more important than ability. He also cautioned the boys that to not take their privileges for granted as the girls were proving much better in every field. He also promised to look into a request for a full-fledged Girls Troop for the School.
The NCC cadets were awarded certificates and NN Reddy congratulated them for their discipline. Principal Skand Bali proposed the vote of thanks mentioning how proud the school was of the fact that their former students were donning the Uniform as Col Rakesh K Rao, an alumnus also happened to be one of the visiting dignitaries.
The other notable delegates present were Group Commander, Col. N Ramalingam, Col Rajesh K Rao CO 7 T Battalion, NCC, Lt Col Thomas Verghese, Admin Officer, 1 T Battalion NCC besides the CO of 1 Air Squadron Gp Capt BS Gill and CO of 1 T Naval Unit Capt Srinivas.
