Need for more doctor's in country: Ramulu
Koti: Backward Classes Commission Chairman BS Ramulu said that India needs more medical students as the doctor-population ratio in the country is very less in the country. He was addressing an awareness programme on medical education abroad organised by Neo-educational institutes here at a private hotel on Monday.
Ramulu said many precious lives were lost due to the shortage of doctors in India. He urged the governments to focus on medical education and ensure that more students take up medical education. He lauded Neo Institutes for their valuable efforts for the past 25 years in providing medical education to middle-class people at affordable cost in various countries.
Neo Institutes Group MD Dr Divya Sunitha Raju said their institution was giving training to students for admission tests conducted by various recognised foreign medical universities. The institution was started to ensure that students seeking medicine course abroad were not deceived by agents and consultants, she added.
