Netherlands national day celebrated

Hyderabad: On occasion of The King's Day, the national day of the Netherlands, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Marten van den Berg and his wife Sheila Karwal hosted a dinner for the key dignitaries in the city. S K Joshi, the Chief Secretary of Telangana Government, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

India and the Netherlands have shared a cordial diplomatic relationship for more than 70 years have immense scope for collaboration and both the countries look for each other's support to strengthen socio-economic and political relations.

Talking about the bond shared by India and The Netherlands, the Netherlands Ambassador said, "India and the Netherlands have shared warm diplomatic relations for many years, and I'm happy to say these ties are growing stronger each day. In a world where the need for International Cooperation is more important than ever, India is a key strategic partner for the Netherlands—both economically and geopolitically."

Highlighting the importance accorded to Hyderabad by The Netherlands, Ajay Odathekal, The Netherlands Trade Commissioner for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, stated, "Hyderabad ranks very high in the strategic plans that the Kingdom of the Netherlands has for India, which is evident from the fact that it is one of the 5 locations where the Dutch Government has its footprint in India.

Hyderabad and the Netherlands share a lot, in terms of our traditional strengths, be it Poultry or pharmaceuticals - and the opportunities to come together for the common good is more than ever. We remain strongly committed towards the region and are keen on exploring every opportunity to work together as equals."
