New traffic lights installed at KBR park Junction

Banjara Hills: Hyderabad city police have been adopting new technology to improve efficiency in their performance. Now, the traffic wing introduced a new method in signalling system at KBR Park Junction.

They adopted a new method to control traffic during the night time. Till now, the traffic signal lights on polls have been used to control the traffic. The police are arranging traffic signal lights on the stop lines.

These are visible from faraway distances also. They tried this on experimental basis near KBR park. Usually, the lights on polls are not clearly visible during night time from faraway distances.

The speeding vehicles often jump signals causing accidents. But, these lights across the road will alert the drivers well before the junction arrives. Even violators can be easily captured using CCTV cameras due to the digital lighting on the road. Traffic police said they will set up a similar kind of system in other junctions based on the results.
