Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rukmini Poruri, the president and sponsor of Aangeerasa Charitable Trust, said, "I thank all the sponsors who came forward and donated money and blessings to these children. I hope that the children who have been able to do their education with the help of the trust become successful and make their parents proud."

The event began with the children from Veda Pathashala Bodhu Nagar, chantic Vedic slokas and the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and founders.

Aangeerasa Charitable Trust is a non profit organisation, which was set up by like-minded people from Poruri families and other close associates. The trust was found with an aim to help the poor and bright children with their educational needs.

The trust began by sponsoring 10 children who were financially poor, but bright in studies. The trust was founded in 2012. "I have come from Boduppal and my father is a Purohit. We got to know about this trust from one of the associates in my college. I feel happy that a little amount that is being sponsored by the trust is helping me in my further studies," she said.

B Chetnasri, a B Tech 3rd year student from Karimnagar, said, "I stay with my siblings, and my college, BV Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT), is in Nizampet. I stay there in hostel. The trust today is going to sponsor me with an amount of Rs 7,000, which will help me in my education."
