NGO revels in joy of sharing in hyderabad city

Hyderabad: An NGO, Joy of Sharing, distributed 560 food packets to street beggars on Monday as part of spreading awareness on single use plastic. The food was packed in banana leaves and paper. Volunteers and members spread out across the city at night.

Food packets were distributed in Himayathnagar, Dilshuknagar, Uppal, Banjara Hills, Kukatpally and Koti. "We chose an eco-friendly way to spread awareness and help the needy," said Raghu, founder, Joy of Sharing.

"I was thinking of what to eat to night, by god's grace these people brought us food at the right time," said a beggar. There were also a few beggars who gave up food for others as they had enough food, said a team member Joy of Sharing.
