Chanchalguda: On the eve of National Prisoners Welfare Day, recognising the services to the poor prisoners by an NGO, MPJ (Movement for Peach and Justice), the jail authorities of Chanchalguda Central Prison awarded a memento to its organisers.

MPJ state president Md Abdul Aziz received the token of appreciation from Metropolitan Sessions Judge, N Tukaramji, the chief guest of the programme. The services of MPJ related to prisoners include monetary assistance to prisoners for their release on completion of their term, who would otherwise continue to languish in jail for failing to pay penalty.

MPJ also provides financial support to the poor prisoners who end up in prison for wrong reasons. Inspector General of Prisons B Saidaiah and other officials were present.
