Nizamabad: 2 students injured as school bus rams into tree
Nizamabad: Two students were severely injured when the school bus rammed into a tree near Nallavelli village, Indalwai mandal on Tuesday morning.
The bus of Sri Vidya Public School of Dichpally mandal headquarters was returning after picking up students from Nallavelli village on Tuesday morning. The bus driver lost control near rice mill and hit a tree and got stuck in the tree.
The legs of a fourth-class student, Dharpally Pranay Babu, got stuck in the mangle and were fractured. Another student of fifth standard Nadula Nikhil was also seriously injured. Both the injured were shifted to Nizamabad Government Hospital and undergoing treatment.
There were 25 students travelling in the bus at the time of mishap. It took almost 45 minutes for the locals to take out the students from the bus, who were stuck up in the mangle of the bus metal. Sub-Inspector Sivaprasad Reddy inspected the accident spot. He registered a case and took up investigation.
Meanwhile, PDSU Nizamabad division leader Varun Ganga Satyam alleged the school management is running unfit buses, which pose danger to the lives of the students. He demanded that the government should seize such school buses.
