No respite yet from sewage overflow

Kondapur: The residents and commuters are facing inconvenience due to sewerage overflow on Kondapur X Roads.

"This has been a frequent problem for the last two years. Almost for every three days, sanitation department cleans the drainage. The authorities need to think of a long-term solution," said Pratima, a resident.

"It is even more difficult for motorists and commuters to travel through the overflowing sewage water and this is becoming an accident spot as the road has become a slippery stretch due to mud and sludge," says Venu, a motorist.

Pedestrians and commuters complain that the situation was getting worse because of monsoon, water stagnation leading to traffic congestion.
