One more Metro train runs to Hi-Tec City
Hyderabad: In order to cater to the increasing rush in the metro train from Ameerpet to Hitec city, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) on Thursday introduced one more train on this route.
Speaking to the media, NVS Reddy, the Managing Director of HMRL, said with the opening of Ameerpet-Hi-Tec City route, arrangements by software companies for their employees to travel by metro and gradual introduction of more shuttle services from various locations of the city was resulting in increasing commuter numbers on Hitec city route.
There is maximum rush on the Ameerpet-Hi-Tec City route with about 14,000 passengers travelling during peak hours in the morning, he said. One more extra train trip per hour will be introduced from Ameerpet to Hi-Tec City and this additional train will now be continued till the reversal facility at Hi-Tec City is completed, after which the frequency of trains will be increased as per requirement, Reddy said.
