Open drainage pose threat to pedestrians

Kukatpally: The locals of KPHP Colony in Kukatpally have been facing a lot of inconvenience due to the open drainage and manholes. It has been more than two months that the locals have been facing the issue.

K Srinivas, a resident of the area said, "The open drainage has become a serious cause of concern for locals of this area. There is an unpleasant smell that is caused by the open drainage."

M Sita, a commuter said, "There have been many incidents of animals and dry plastic thrown into the open drainage. Especially it is even more difficult in monsoon season for the motorists and commuters to travel on overflowing sewage water. It has turned into a slippery stretch."
