Organise Liberation Day officially: ABVP

Habsiguda: The Uppal wing of ABVP has demanded that the State government officially celebrate the Telangana Liberation Day (Vimochana Divas) on September 17.

Convener Arvind released a poster near Dr B R Ambedkar statue. He recalled that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao before coming to power pledged to celebrate the day officially.

He claimed that after formation of Telangana KCR, had been encouraging vote-bank politics and not honouring the assurance on the official celebrations. Arvind said the parishad would organise various programmes on the Telangana Liberation Day. He said the poster was intended to create awareness among students. Those present included ABVP leader Mahesh.
