Secunderabad: People from different places love to visit General Bazaar near Patny to shop on various occasions. However, the shopping has become a hurdle these days due to lack of parking space on the congested roads. Hundreds of vehicles are parked at unauthorized spots causing traffic jams. There are also no traffic personnel in the area to control the traffic.

"The parkers are also blocking the way toward ladies toilet by parking their vehicles right in front of the washroom. To use the washroom, women have to cross all the parked cars and two wheelers," said Manjula, a 35-year-old women.

Two wheelers face several hardships to cross this busy area. Cars completely block the roads causing traffic jams in the area. It is hard to shop in the famous Bazaar due of heavy traffic and congested roads, say shoppers.

Speaking on the roads and traffic congestion, Swathi Priya said, "It is always expected that roads are always busy, as it is an exclusive shopping area. But, we just only expect that it would be helpful if we could get some parking area to park vehicles. It is horrible that we don't have a little space to park our vehicles. Allotting some official parking area to park vehicles will help us in many ways."

"Kurthis on James Street lane are available cheaper than anywhere else in the city. But, it is becoming impossible to commute in these lanes, and half of the footpath is occupied by the roadside vendors. Road is occupied by the ice-cream, soda or other vendors," said Neha, a shopper.
