Patancheru: Krishnareddypet Upa-Sarpanch M Faheem on Thursday demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the alleged 'corruption' in Krishnareddypet Gram Panchayat and follow-up action taken. Addressing the media along with Panchayat members, he alleged that the panchayat secretaries and bills collectors had colluded to cause disappearance of records.

Faheem demanded action against those whose behaviour was 'irresponsible'. He demanded notices by higher officials to those behind disappearance of records and sought action against them. He alleged that Rs 90 lakh had been drawn without any resolutions being adopted by the panchayat, while keeping him in dark.

The Upa-Sarpanch questioned the sale of water from an RO plant which had been donated. He demanded supply of water to the poor for whom the RO had been set up. He pointed out that although the Panchayat had been formed 10 months back, only two meetings had been held and without informing anyone, as many as 120 resolutions had been passed.
