People joining TRS for social welfare: Talasani

Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Monday claimed that people were voluntarily joining the TRS party as they support welfare schemes. The minister, along with Nampally TRS in- charge Anand Kumar Goud, participated in the party membership drive in Vijayanagar Colony here.

On the occasion, Talasani said Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao launched several welfare schemes for people like nowhere in the country and even the Centre and other States were following TS welfare schemes, he said. Offering TRS membership to people in the segment, he asked them to support the TRS for more development and welflare schemes. He hoped that more people will join the TRS fold by July 20 deadline.

With KCR directive, the ministers, in-charges and legislators were coordinating with the local leaders and offering membership in all the districts. Party working president KT Rama Rao has asked the leadership to offer membership to as many as 50,000 to 60,000 new persons in every segment. He said the people are keen to join the ruling party with hope of welfare and development schemes. "We will go beyond the target given with regard to membership in the segments", he said, adding that the TRS aims to protect the rights of the people and fulfil their aspirations.
