Photography contest on bio-diversity held at zoo

Bahadurpura: Nehru Zoological Park in coordination with Telangana State Bio-diversity Board conducted photography competition and exhibition and slogan-writing competition at Nehru Zoological Park in Bahadurpura. As many as 33 participants took part in the photography competition and over 150 photographs were displayed at the Bio-Scope Hall. N Kshitija, Curator distributed prizes to the winners.

Speaking on the occasion, N Kshitija said that, "our ancestors always held the five elements of nature in great regard and nature conservation was part of their lives." She congratulated the winners and all the participants for participating in the competition conducted on the theme "Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health" and making this awareness programme great success.

"Photography requires lot of patience and nature observation, photography sharpens the senses and inculcates a sense of bonding with nature. The response from the participants inspires nature lovers," Kshitija added.

Syed Maqsood Mohinuddin, Deputy Curator, Dr MA Hakeem, Deputy Director (Vet), G Sailu, Co-ordinator, TSBDB, G Gnyaneshwar, Satish Babu, Assistant Curators, D Nagaraju, Deputy Range Officer, HM Hanifulla, PRO and M Sandeep Goud, B Laxminarayana, Biologists, were present.
