How can the government permit the liquor shop to operate within 100 meters of place of worship and educational institution? In October the government has renewed the contract despite the fact that residents have been opposing," lamented Owner's Welfare Association, president, Srinivas. He said that on several occasions the issue was taken to the notice of police officials, but it remained unresolved.
He said that residents had also requested the owners of the shop to relocate from the place, but they remained adamant. Other residents also pointed out that several complaints were lodged during past several years to Excise, Police, GHMC and others related to parking violations, but in vain.

"For now, we have decided to meet the Cyberabad commissioner to take forward our concern," said Srnivas.
