Politicos visit nala site more often than not
Dabeerpura: This was the nth time that any public representative along with officials visited and inspected the pending works of nala at Dabeerpura, which continues to be an albatross around the neck of authorities for a couple of years, owing to technical reasons. The works which began in June 2019 are to be completed by July.
On Wednesday, Yakutpura MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri along with GHMC and HMWSSB officials once again visited to inspect the works of Dabeerpura nala, besides some other civic works at Yakutpura. While acknowledging the slow pace works, Pasha Quadri assured that it will be completed before Ramzan (Islamic month).
He also instructed the officers concerned to complete the nala works on priority basis so that devout does not face problems during Ramzan. "We hope that this year during monsoon the residents do not suffer of water stagnation," he added. During his visit, he held paidaldaura and inspected pending works of nalas at Dabeerpura, Yakutpura and Sadath Nagar and other civic works.
He was accompanied with MLC Mirza Riyaz-ul-Hasan Effendi and newly elected corporator Mir Basith Ali and other party leaders. It may be mentioned here that Dabeerpura nala work has been pending for the last 7 months, in spite of three visits made by Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi. The works at an estimated cost of Rs 1.9 crore including desilting, removal of debris and construction of new pillar and a slab, which started in June 2019, have not yet been completed and are still pending.
