Prof Haragopal flays CM KCR's attitude
Musheerabad: Human Rights Association general secretary Prof Haragopal on Tuesday criticised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for visiting Kerala to promote Federal Front when Intermediate students were committing suicides.
Speaking as the chief guest at a demonstration organised by the Save Education Committee, he and other speakers, Professors Chakradhar, Lakshminarayana and Padmaja Shaw, condemned the CM's indifferent attitude on the suicides issue.
They appealed to the students not to resort to desperate action, while questioning the eligibility of Globarena Tech in dealing with Inter marks. They demanded justice to the affected students. They also wanted criminal cases registered against Globarena and asked Education Minister to step down, owing responsibility for the goof-up.
The speakers hit out at TRS working president K Taraka Rama Rao for indulging in 'cheap politics.' They said re-valuation of Inter papers was their main demand, pointing out that every paper should be re-corrected so that justice can be done to students.
The speakers also criticised KCR for neglecting people's problems. "When a serious issue like students' suicides is begging for attention, how can the government get away by suspending some officials and fining others?' they asked.
