Progressive Democratic Students Union- Vijrumbhana protests 6.7% budget allocation for education

Tarnaka: PDSU-V (Progressive Democratic Students Union- Vijrumbhana) burnt an effigy of state government here on Tuesday protesting against the cuts in outlays in the budget for education sector.

"It's disgraceful to allocate only 6.7 per cent of budget to education sector. It is improper to cut Rs 3000 cr," they added, criticising the government negligent attitude towards education. PDSU-V state president Naga Raju, secretary Anand, Vijay, Babu Rao, Srikanth, Sandhya, Satish, Subakar and others were present.
