Update: 2019-07-23 00:18 IST

Medchal-Malkajgiri: According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places in the State from July 23 to 26. No large change during the period July 27-29 is the weather outlook.

Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon turned weak over Telangana during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday. Consequently, rain occurred at a few places.

According to the Met department bulletin, there was one cm rain each in Manchal, Yacharam, Saroornagar (all in Ranga Reddy district) and Hakimpet IAF station (Medchal-Malkajgiri). Despite the weak monsoon, the bulletin extended the heavy rainfall warning at isolated places in Telangana from July 24 to 26.

The heavy rain is being attributed to the upper air cyclonic circulation over north madhya Maharashtra and its neighbourhood and a trough running from the cyclonic circulation to south coastal Andhra across the north interior Karnataka, Telangana and Rayalaseema.
