R&B Minister visits new CDS building

Borabanda: The Minister for Roads & Buildings, Legislative affairs and Housing, Vemula Prashanth Reddy visited Centre for Dalit Studies here on Friday. Mallepalli Laxmaiah, chairperson, CDS, spoke about the status of the building and its features.

The minister thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for converting the thought of having a special building for CDS into a reality and congratulated Laxmaiah and all other CDS members for the achievement. He expressed happiness over creating a record by erecting 27 ft 6 In (27'6") Dr B R Ambedkar's tallest statue in India at CDS.

The Minister appreciated the work done by CDS till date and said that by the completion of new building with all the equipment, CDS would help students with coaching and trainings of different skills, assist unemployed youth towards getting self employment and help poor people in any aspect. He wished all the best and promised all his support in future activities of CDS.

laxmaiah thanked Chief Minister KCR for constructing CDS building in a fast-paced manner. He thanked the Minister for visiting CDS. He said that the inauguration date would be announced soon after taking the approval from Chief Minister. laxmaiah assured that CDS would act as a bridge between government and people who are in need.
