Recognition assured for Hindi degree course

Hyderabad: Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy on Wednesday assured the Hindi Prachar Sabha and Hindi Seva Sadan leaders that she would render justice to their demand of according permanent recognition to the Hindi Vidwan Degree course.

She was responding to a representation of leaders S Gaibuvali, founder of Hindi Seva Sadan and G Gandhi, regional president, Hindi Prachar Sabha, who called on her and sought merit-based postings to TRT Hindi teachers.

In a representation, the leaders informed the Minister that the TRT Hindi teacher appointments have been stopped after the formation of Telangana State because unable to decide the eligibility. They alleged that in GO 25 the Education Department officials superseded GO 4 due to lack of awareness, rendering 95 per cent of the 30,000 Hindi pandit trained candidate ineligible for appointment, while expressing anguish over the plight of the teachers.

The leaders said if the GO 1415 was made applicable to TGT Hindi Prachar Sabha Degree the candidates waiting for jobs for the last two years would benefit. The leaders who called on the Minister included Hindi Prachar Sabha regional joint secretary Vijaya Wagmede, working committee member Pedda Hajivali, standing committee member A K Raju, Razakvali, officers Mahesh Singh and A Saxena.
