Relay hunger strike by jobless front

Osmania University: Student unions are all set to stage relay hunger strike over problems faced by the students in the university. The Unemployed Front chairman Chanagani Dayakar launched 24-hour hunger strike on Wednesday.

MLA Sreedhar Babu, TJS president M Kodandaram, Seethakka, former MP V Hanumantha Rao, Chada Venkat Reddy, Chukka Ramaiah, RTC JAC leaders Ashwathama Reddy and Thomas Reddy extended their support.

They criticised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for not giving importance to education sector while sanctioning crores in the name of projects. They said there were many teaching posts vacant in universities and demanded appointment of vice-chancellors and sanction of funds.
