Religious leaders asked to foster amity in society
Siddipet: Additional DSP Law and Order G Narsimha Reddy appealed people to maintain communal harmony during the festivals. He made this appeal at the peace meeting held on the eve of Bakrid festival here at municipal office on Friday.
Addressing religious heads, Narsimha asked the people of different religions to maintain communal harmony and celebrate the festivals with religious fervour. He said that development of the society was possible only when law and order was maintained. Security measures were being taken to prevent any untoward incident during the three days of Bakrid, he said.
Siddipet Tajum president Dr Ghouse Moinuddin, vice president Moinuddin, Gundla Janardhan, councilors Mohiz, Chippa Prabhakar, M Venugopal Reddy, Hindu religious heads Bala Rajesham, Gundla Janardhan, Siddi Sagar, local BJP and RSS leaders attended the meeting. Siddipet two town CI Anjaneyulu, in-charge Siddipet traffic CI of one town Srinivas, SIs Srinivas, Kanakaiah Goud and other police officials were also present.
