Restore SPG cover for Gandhis: Congress leaders

Ramanthapur: Leaders of the Youth Congress have criticised that the central government has been resorting to vengeful tactics and vindictive politics. They staged a protest here at Rajiv Gandhi statue on Thursday, criticising the central government for withdrawing SPG security to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.

They burnt effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The leaders said the central government has to own up responsibility if any untoward thing happened to the top Congress leaders.

They warned of massive protest if security was not restored to them. The vice-president of Uppal constituency, Madhu, Youth Congress national leader Vinod Kumar, secretary of Malkajgiri parliament constituency Sachin, Ashok, Deva, Sai and activists were present.
