Road works commence at last in Maruti Nagar

Maruti Nagar: The cementing of the road has begun in Maruti Nagar. The locals have been complaining to the authorities concerned about the poor conditions of the road since a long time.

Smitha R, a 40-year-old working in a government bank in Kukatpally, said, "The condition of the road has been very poor from the past several months. We have complained to the authorities a number of times and no action was taken, so far.

There were many gaps in the road. Due to the poor conditions of the road, there was a lot of damage that was caused to our vehicles frequently. The delay in the works is causing inconvenience for the residents who stay on the street, as we need to park our vehicles at a different place. It has become difficult for us to come out and get in to our houses."

Lakshmi, a worker, said, "It will take about 28 to 30 days or even a little more for cementing the road. The condition of the road was too bad. We had to ask the residents of the area to park their vehicles somewhere else, as it would be impossible for the people to get their vehicles out if they have to go out for work."
