Roadside turns into dumping yard

Manikonda: It is very common nowadays that we see open plots or a road turned into garbage dumping yard. The Manikonda road has turned into a garbage dump yard where the people have started using the place to relieve them and open defecation.

Speaking to The Hans India, a local resident said, "Garbage heaps have become a common sight for the locals as they have to dodge them and go to work every day. Garbage piles are seen on the road which has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, dogs, and rodents. Why is there no proper solid waste management in Manikonda? We have tried multiple times to intimate the civic authorities but all our efforts are in vain."
