RTC workers go on relay hunger strike

Falaknuma: Hundreds of RTC employees of Falaknuma and Farooq Nagar bus depot sat on relay hunger strike at Farooq Nagar Bus depot in Falaknuma on Thursday.

Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary G Rajaratnam and State Youth Congress Spokesperson SP Kranthi Kumar have participated in the strike and extended their support to the ongoing RTC Strike. Addressing to the RTC employees, they said that from the last 27 days RTC workers are on strike to save RTC, but the state government has not responded even after instructions from the High Court.

They said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should hold talks with RTC JAC leaders with the intention of resolving the issues of RTC employees, and also to merge RTC in government as assured by the Chief Minster at Nizamabad Public meeting.

Later, they offered juice to RTC employees who participated in the relay strike and said the Congress Party would stand by RTC employees until their genuine demands are resolved by the government.

RTC JAC leaders M Shanker, Saber, TK Rao, Hemalatha, Aruna, Vyas, Sudhakar, Ramdevi, BS Narayana, Prabhakar, Jameer and hundreds of RTC employees participated in the relay hunger strike.
