Patancheru: Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy on Thursday called on Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in Delhi and submitted a representation to him seeking RUBs at Tellapur and Edulanagulapalli villages and a railway terminal at Nagulapalli.

They pleaded for allotment of railway lands for the market yard located adjacent to local railway station and removal of RC Puram-Patancheru railway track and in its place link Bandlaguda village for providing a bypass road up to the market yard. They sought permission for the bypass road and allotment of disused railway lands for the market yard and the bypass road. This would benefit lakhs of people.

A statement issued by the MP and MLA from Delhi stated that Goyal responded positively on railway problems. He assured to convene a meeting of high officials on the issues raised in the representation and issue suitable orders.

The representation stated that that lack of RUB in Tellapur and Edulanagulapalli villages in RC Puram mandal was causing traffic problems for local residents. It pointed out that a survey was done in 1980 for a Patancheru-Medak railway line on the town's outskirts and land acquired. Now the line has been limited to only Patancheru. Among those who met Goyal included former RC Puram MPP Yadagiri Reddy.

Meanwhile, MP and MLA also called on Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu at his residence. Naidu sought details of the State problems while commenting that he has had long association with the Patancheru industrial estate and recalled past memories. Those who accompanied the MP and legislator included Yellareddy MLA Enugu Ravinder, Yadagiri Yadav.
