Rural CI Upender shunting surprises many

Tandur: Rural CI Upender has been attached to the district SP office. He assumed charge as Inspector only last year. He had been allegedly facing charges that he was in collusion with sand mafia for the last two months.

It is believed that the action was also a result of the cold war between an MLA and an MLC from the district. His sudden attachment surprised the people of the district where charges were floating over alleged tampering of FIR in a road accident. Town CI Ravikumar was given additional responsibilities to look after the rural area.
