Santosh Nagar: DRDL flyover works inspected

Santosh Nagar: Riyasath Nagar division Corporator Mirza Saleem Baig along with officials of GHMC, HMWSSB, TSSPDCL, traffic police and flyover contractor, BSCPL India Limited, conducted a joint inspection of the ongoing construction works of DRDL flyover near Owaisi Hospital Junction on Monday.

During the inspection, they discussed about the construction works and traffic congestion in the area. The team inspected works of shifting of utilities pipelines, telephone cables, 33kv electric cables etc. They also studied feasibility of traffic diversion points for free flow of traffic. GHMC south zone superintendent engineer Dattupant, Falaknuma traffic inspector D Balaji and other officers were present.

The officials hope that the 2-km long flyover bridge of solid concrete sitting on 36 piers, taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 63 crore with its starting point at Bairamalguda till Phisalbanda connecting the junctions Owaisi Hospital Junction and Midhani Junction, will ease traffic congestion near DRDL in Kanchanbagh.
