Sarees assured to all beneficiaries

Malkajgiri: District officials said that actually half of the sarees for distribution to the poor women for Bathukamma celebrations were in godown and the remaining were in manufacturing and packing stages.

The number of beneficiaries in Malakjgiri GHMC limits were estimated to be 72,247 and the officials received only 33,280 sarees so far. They were trying to procure the remaining stocks from the government and as soon as possible they would be distributed to the remaining beneficiaries, according to Ashok, the DPO.
