Scribe selected for MJRP award

Peddemul: Senior journalist and photographer Kummari Venkataiah from Mambapur village bagged MJRP national award. Jatheeya Bahujan Sahitya Academy has been giving away these awards for the past 15 years to the people who serve society in different areas.

The presentation ceremony was held at Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Kalyana Mandapam, Tirupati, where 19 people received awards. Venkataiah was felicitated and presented a shield and certificate.

Villagers, friends and others felt happy over his recognition. National president of Bahujana Sahitya Akademi Nalla Radhakrishna, Venkateshwar, Aruna, Jitta Balakrishna, Dr Dasari Ranga and others were present.
