Afzalgunj: A journalist was allegedly manhandled by security guards at the Osmania General Hospital. A video went viral, wherein a journalist was seen being shoved off by the security men in navy blue dress, triggering protests by other journalists at the state-run hospital.
According to witnesses, the Journalist Giri Babu, working for a vernacular channel visited the hospital on his motorbike. He was helping another local journalist whose hand was fractured in an early morning accident. Giri who was riding the bike in a hurry tried to take him inside the hospital, unwary of where he parked the vehicle. The newly appointed security men however jumped into action and an argument broke out between the journalist and the men in navy blue.
Later the situation went out of control and the security men allegedly started manhandling the man, while the injured journalist captured the entire incident with his camera, which later went viral on social media groups.
