Secunderabad division DRUCC discusses amenities

Secunderabad: The 164th Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meeting of Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway was held on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by Anand Bhatia, the Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division, and was convened by Dr Sumit Sharma, senior divisional commercial manager and secretary of DRUCC, and other officers of the Secunderabad Division along with 16 DRUCC members attended the meeting.

Anand Bhatia highlighted the performance and major developments of Secunderabad Division to the members. Later, the agenda sent by the members was discussed, whose main demands were for stoppage of trains, provision of passenger amenities such as lifts, escalators, punctuality of trains, and ensuring cleanliness at stations and on trains.

The members were informed that as partners of railways their suggestions are of great value in deciding on provision of passenger amenities and stoppages of the trains etc.

The members expressed their satisfaction over the improvements made at stations, especially with respect to passenger amenities and cleanliness, introduction of special trains, augmentation of coaches etc. DRUCC members gave suggestions for further improvement of facilities.
