Security checked at city's strong rooms

Hyderabad: Hyderabad District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner M Dana Kishore along with Assistant Return Officer and Zonal Commissioner Raghu Prasad carried out a sudden inspection of strong rooms of Hyderabad district's parliament electronic voting machine's strong rooms on Monday evening.

Strong rooms of Sanath Nagar and Amberpet constituencies which were at Osmania University, College of Business Administration and Distance Education buildings were inspected by the Hyderabad DEO. He also appreciated BJP leaders who are in bandobust round the clock along with the Para Military forces at Amberpet strong rooms.

Dana Kishore made it clear to the in-charge officers of security forces that none should enter the strong rooms under any circumstances. They were asked to make sure that contestants who come to visit the rooms mention their name and sign the visitors book. Dana Kishore also mentioned his details in the visitor's book.

The GHMC chief asked the officials to make sure that all the CC cameras and fire extinguishers are kept ready in the strong rooms. The ordered deployment of local police along with already existing central forces. He also ordered the water supply board to provide enough water provisions for the forces at the strong rooms.
