Seized tobacco, gutka worth 75L set afire

Ramachandrapuram: The police on Sunday set on fire the seized tobacco and 'gutka' packets worth Rs.75 lakh in the Tellapur forest area. The seizures were carried out in the last two years by the Cyberbad SOT and police.

Nine cases were registered. The stocks were burnt following orders of the court, after they were produced. The police warned that cases would be registered against those who cooperated with the offenders involved in dealing with the banned products.
