Seminar on Islamic Studies today
Gachibowli: Department of Islamic Studies, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in collaboration with Henry Martyn Institute (HMI), Hyderabad, is organising two-day national seminar 'Islamic Studies: Concept, Present Scenario and Future'. The inaugural session will be held on 24th April at Library auditorium.
According to Prof Mohd Fahim Akhtar, Head, Dept of Islamic Studies & Director, Seminar, Dr Packiam T Samuel, Director, HMI will be the chief guest and Dr Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor will preside over the inaugural session.
Prof Abdul Ali, Former Head, Dept of Islamic Studies, AMU will deliver keynote address. Prof Iqtidar Mohd. Khan, Former Head, Dept. of Islamic Studies, JMI will be the guest of honour. Eminent scholars and teachers from various Universities are attending the seminar. Those with an interest in Islamic Studies have been invited, according to a press release.
