Serilingampally: Journos' green challenge today

Serilingampally: The Telangana Working Journalists Union (TUWJ) Ranga Reddy district unit president Uppari Sekhar Sagar, general secretary Asif Hussain and convener Ramesh on Sunday appealed to journalists to make December 2 as 'green challenge day' (plantation of saplings) in MLAs' Colony, Banjara Hills, in response to the call given by Telangana Media Academy Chairman Allam Narayana.

They said the programme was jointly organised by the Academy and TUWJ across the State, including Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad and Medchal districts. The TUWJ leaders stated that the organisation's aim was that journalists should play a key role in State's development.

They said representatives of various dailies and editors/CVOs of TV channels would attend the programme starting at 10.30 am. In Medchal district, members of TUWJ committees in all constituencies would attend in large numbers to make it successful.
